Debates are glorified mudslinging

Our presidential candidates “debate” and millions tune in to watch. These “debates” degenerate into glorified mudslinging, with each candidate launching personal attacks against the other, intent on baiting each other into losing it on the air.

Americans sit glued to their TVs, each cheering for their side, waiting for their candidate to go for the jugular and draw blood. When it’s all over, the reporters (whose job remember is to report the news) begin their “expert” analysis, which goes on for another hour or more, including debating which candidate “won.”

This is supposed to help us choose which person is best suited to be our president? The Founding Fathers must be rolling over in their graves.
