Scales of Justice weigh in favor of Skinder for judge
As an attorney, I’m often asked by my friends, family, and clients who they should vote for in local judicial races. I want a judge who upholds the rule of law while treating lawyers and their clients with respect. I want a judge who is compassionate, experienced, fair, and reasoned in his or her rulings. I want a judge who has integrity and is trusted in our community. John Skinder holds all of these qualities and I support his endeavor to become the next Thurston County Superior Court Judge for Position 7.
If you have ever been personally involved in a court case, you know that it can be a stressful and emotional time for everyone involved. It is important that all parties feel that they were heard fairly, and that the judge cared about the case and understood each position, no matter the ruling. In my years of knowing John, as a professional and as a friend, he has shown me that he has what it takes to hear cases and make rulings with integrity and fairness. John has been a prosecutor for nearly twenty years doing both civil and criminal work. John has the necessary experience and temperament to become an excellent judge, and would bring a sense of justice to our community.
I know for certain that John wants to ensure that the Thurston County Superior Court is highly respected by all, and that he will never let the “scales of justice” tip out of balance.
