Hutch asked for and got my vote

The other day a candidate for county commission came to my door. His name was John Hutchings. He asked for my vote. I said, “Why should I vote for you? What experience do you have?”

He told me that he had worked as a police officer for 33 years, and finished his career as the Chief of Tenino. Before that he worked for 29 years in the Olympia Police Department. One of his specialties was handling situations involving the mentally ill.

I asked him what he wants to do about the pocket gopher. He told me the county can follow federal and state law and still protect my rights as a homeowner. He also said there was no need to make a code violation a criminal offense, and he would change it back to the way it was. That is exactly what my neighbors and I need from Thurston County right now. That is exactly what Romero, Wolfe, and Valenzuela wouldn’t do for us.

I was at the Rainier Parade. I saw Jim Cooper flying a Tea Party flag. I also saw he is endorsed by the old commissioners. We know Jim Cooper wants an illegal income tax. We will not be fooled by such dishonesty in my house.

Hutch came to my door to ask for my vote. My family is giving him our vote, and you should too.
