Take action to save lives

Helen Henry’s call for Congress to give a gift to all mothers by passing the Reach Every Mother and Child Act has still not happened. (‘Mother’s Day gift for all’ by Helen Henry, The Olympian, May 6, 2016) Since her letter, 201 Members of the House have cosponsored this life-saving legislation, with 9 more planning to do so when Congress convenes next month. Over 100,000 mothers have died from preventable causes in our world since her letter was posted. This legislation can pass next month if we call and write our representatives and ask them to pass the bill. Won’t you take a few minutes to tell them it matters to you?
