Clinton best hope for progressive,liberals

For greater good, Democrats must put aside their differences and unite to elect Hillary Clinton. As a nation, our future and well-being may well depend upon it. This is the most important and consequential election of our lifetime, and we can't afford to stay on the sidelines.

Hillary Clinton is far better prepared to hold the highest office of the land. She may not be a perfect candidate, but she is passionate about the progressive issues Democrats care about. Clinton presidency would lead us forward with boldness and strength.

Putting Donald Trump in the White House would be a disrespect for the office of the presidency. Trump is temperamentally unstable, unfit and vengeful. Handing him our nuclear code risks the very future of our planet. It's our moral obligation to deny him the chance of putting his tiny hands on the presidency.

It is likely that the next president will appoint a number of Supreme Court justices, tipping the balance of the court for years to come. A more liberal Supreme Court might well overturn the regrettable Citizens United that declared corporations have the same rights as people.

For the sake of our children and grandchildren — as well our sanity -- we must unite behind Clinton and denounce the right-wing ideology of hate, fear bigotry, divisiveness and isolation. If elected, Trump undoubtedly would attempt to roll back the remarkable progress President Obama has made despite Republican obstructionism.
