A clear clear choice for our future

Make no mistake, the future of Thurston County depends on electing Kelsey Hulse and Jim Cooper to serve as our county commissioners. Unlike their opponents, these two understand what it will take to maintain a healthy environment and a robust economy.

The future of clean water, air, clean Puget Sound, robust farms, healthy forests and maintaining a healthy and economically sustainable place to live and work hangs in the balance. Hulse and Cooper understand that good land use planning - determining how and where we'll grow - will determine how well - or if - the Thurston region will achieve its carefully identified goals to protect clean drinking water and healthy streams, less car dependence, reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, the ability of residents to meet their daily needs, and a sustainable public and private sector economy.

Thanks to 20 years of robust community conversations using the best information available our good land use plans are the foundation upon which our region can face the future. We are convinced that our precious future depends on electing leaders who have proven an understanding of the importance of land use to achieving the future described in local and region plans. We ask that you join us in voting for Kelsey Hulse and Jim Cooper.
