Why I support Erin Jones

I have had many opportunities to meet with leaders and hopeful leaders of our state. Of the many people I met, Erin Jones was one of a very small handful of people who asked me what I thought. She cared about my perspective about many things but especially education. She cared that my wife and I have been in the classroom for 18 years and that we’ve made it our life’s work to help kids grow and succeed.

As I’ve come to know Mrs. Jones even better, and have talked to people who have known her for many years, and in many different capacities, that is the recurring theme from everyone I talk to. She listen! She cares what the people in the trenches of education think.

Additionally Erin has earned my vote because she has been in K-12 education for 20+ years on both sides of the state, and has executive leadership experience. She truly understands what it’s really like in the classroom.

It has become very clear to me that Erin Jones is running because she wants to help all kids in the state of Washington get the education that they deserve. She’s lived her entire life working for kids! She doesn’t just talk the talk, my fellow voters! She walks the walk! And isn’t that exactly what we need and what our kids deserve? I whole-heartedly encourage you to vote for Erin Jones for Superintendent of Public Instruction
