Erin Jones needed for superintendent of public instruction
Among the long list of positions and candidates on the ballot currently being considered by citizens is the very important position of chief state school officer of this state. Erin Jones will be a breath of fresh air for the State Superintendent of Public Instruction, an office that has been far too political over the years. Her qualifications for this position are outstanding, as evidenced by numerous impressive awards and acknowledgments of distinction. As a public servant in the education arena for the past 4 decades in this community and as a professional educational consultant for the last 20 years, I wholeheartedly endorse Erin. She will bring about the transformational changes needed for our education system to strive.
We need the kind of fresh ideas that Erin brings forth. Her dedication and commitment to all students and their families is vitally important for the desirable outcomes needed as we prepare our students for the competitive global economy of our time. Erin is committed to innovation and alternative learning models which are key to excellent and equitable outcomes for all students. Her passion for public education is unsurpassed and she is truly a champion for students and teachers. We need the kind of partnerships that Erin will build. Her understanding of curriculum and instructional issues positions her for the educational leadership needed in this office. It's time for a change in the usual approaches for this statewide position. Please join me in voting for Erin Jones and help make a difference.
