Thank you, Denny Heck for support

I would like to publicly thank Denny Heck for sending a strong letter to the chair of Appropriations for State, Foreign Operations and Related Programs, urging them to maintain current funding levels.

He made this request as a way of supporting our national security. The president’s budget would cut this funding by $10.1 billion. Our State Department and the health and education support provided to poor countries through this funding ensure we can respond to crises with diplomacy and build our image in the world as a caring, humanitarian nation.
