Fund education, not corporations

With shaky legs and upset stomach, this grandmother of 13, summoned the courage to testify at the Capitol in favor of a HB2186, bill to fund education.

New revenue from capital gains and closing tax loopholes will provide a dependable source to help fund our schools without punishing the poor. Since business benefit from a pool of well educated workers, they need to pay their fair share.

Additionally, the state must end corporate welfare. A system that gives tax breaks to only some businesses is not fair and hurts our children. Please demand that the Washington Senate fully fund education with new revenues and stop corporate welfare.
