Passing repeal on Obamacare a death sentence

A letter for Cathy McMorris Rodgers – the Republican representative of District 5 (Eastern Washington) who voted to impoverish her already poor constituents and to deny them access to health care.

Congratulations, Cathy! You have been promoted from Representative to Executioner! Great career move! I was born in Ione and grew up in Spokane (both in your district) so I have an understanding of the problems facing that population. You have done more to maim, sicken, and economically destroy those citizens of Washington state than Hanford’s nuclear waste dump has.

You just took their problems and multiplied them by ten. You made a conscious (and selfish) decision to abandon the helpless, the children, the elderly, the disabled and the poor. You threw your constituents under the bus for the sole purpose of enriching corporate thieves. You decided that my 10-year-old niece with leukemia should die rather than that you spend a penny to keep her alive.

Of course, I spent lots of my tax dollars on your grandparents’ Medicare and hospitalization and I never once whined about it. But when my other niece (15- months) needs a cornea transplant in order to not be blinded, you cling to your ill-gotten earnings with a vengeance and curse her with eternal darkness. All so that you can funnel more filthy money into the hands of your puppet masters. Great career move. We won’t forget.
