Kids rising from adversity positive story

After reading everyday about our country’s problems with racial diversity, greed, crime, and hate, it was so refreshing to see the article in May 13 paper about local kids who have risen above almost insurmountable odds to do something positive with their lives.

Kudos and hats off to these young people who are determined to rise above their circumstances with hard work and a determination to make a difference.
