Sen. Braun benefits from government

It is ironic, if not obscene, that many of 60,000 state employees may be furloughed and state government that serves over 7 million citizens may be shut down because of the intransigence and short-sighted political positions of state Sen. John Braun, chair of the Senate Ways and Means Committee.

Readers should know that Sen. Braun has grown affluent as president of a company, Braun Northwest, that grosses over $30 million a year selling ambulances and emergency equipment to government agencies (Source: Manta.com). The Good Senator has grown rich on the public dime but doesn’t seem willing to pay for crucial state services for his fellow citizens or anything approaching a fair wage to his fellow public servants.

It is amazing to me that state media have not thoroughly covered the hypocrisy of this matter.
