Make Washington a leader in climate change

With the present administration in power at the White House it seems very unlikely that we will be able to do anything substantial in regard to fighting climate change at the national level.

That leaves the problem of climate change to the states to deal with. In Washington state we have four bills before the legislature proposing a tax on carbon. There is also a bill before the legislature related to incentives for promoting the use solar energy (HB1048/SB5499). There is plenty of opportunity for our legislators to make Washington state a leader in fighting climate change.
