Call for an American values general strike

America has entered the dark night of its soul. As the crime family occupying the white house has all lawyered-up (including their lawyers), there are no more checks and balances. Whatever Mueller finds will be stonewalled by the GOP or packed Supreme Court.

Ryan-McConnell gleefully develop painful health policies in dark chambered rooms and are planning to ram rod it through. This summer the climate deniers will be looking for cover and more fake science. Trump will soon fire missiles to distract us as he fires Mueller.

The GOP has turned the democrats and independents into lame-duck representatives. There is no meaningful opposition in Congress to this new tyranny. Their lame duck presence will have little effect on our immediate future. I call upon the opposition to stop providing cover for this corrupted regime and walk out of Congress.

They can then return to their home districts and agitate for an American Values General Strike this Labor Day on Sept. 4. Those who still believe in democracy, our constitution, equality and fairness should demonstrate in the streets their passion for core American Values. Perhaps it is time for draft a 21st century Declaration of Independence and convene a new Constitutional Convention. Let’s make Labor Day the beginning of a new agenda for America.
