Trump's treatment not unprecedented

I completely disagree with the opinion of Rob Penny, published June 24, that Mr. Trump is the worst treated president in history. He should look at former President Obama. President Obama has been called every racist name there is, including “Tar Baby” He has been pictured with a noose around his neck and as a chimpanzee. His citizenship has been questioned. His religion has been questioned. His college performance has been questioned. His loyalty and patriotism were questioned.

Before he was inaugurated, Senate Majority Leader Mich McConnell stated that none of his bills would be passed and he would make sure that Obama was a one term president. Never before has a former president been so criticized and maligned by his successor. Former First Lady, Michelle Obama has been, among other things, called Barack’s “Baby Mama” and an ape in high heels. Mr. Trump should begin to realize that every politician is criticized and quit crying that he is being picked on. Maybe he should take some advice from the late President Harry Truman. “If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen”
