Beware high tides and earthquakes

Your recent story about Olympia’s planning for sea level rise discusses some of the problems that higher and higher tides will pose for downtown over time. However, it doesn’t mention one long term problem that we don’t have a good solution for, as far as I know. What happens during one of these anticipated high tide events if we have an earthquake that breaches one of our new dikes when it happens to be holding back three or four more feet of sea water?
