Do not build a convention center

Thurston County voters need to be aware that the proposed Thurston County Convention Center and Stadium District will lose money. Just look at Tacoma. The Tacoma Convention Center lost $4.5 million in 2015 expenses and interest payments. Nationally the story is the same. All money losers.

The consultants will talk about the advantages. But you the voter/taxpayer will be left with an expensive facility and a tax bill every tear. Please attend the county hearing. The hearing is set for 5:30 p.m. July 25 at the Thurston County Courthouse, 2000 Lakeridge Drive, Olympia, WA, Building 1, room 280.
