Have you heard the one about Van Trump Park?
Humor inspiration: A place that many hikers go at Mt. Rainier is called Van Trump Park. Donald Trump has no interest, respect or connection to the natural world. Van Trump and Hazard Stevens were the first people to climb Mt. Rainier.
Anyway this fake news story came to me and I had a great time telling it to every park ranger and a few other hikers. They all believed it until I informed them it was a hoax. Share with your friends if you think it’s funny.
“Donald Trump Renames Van Trump Park”
Donald Trump issued a tweet renaming Van Trump Park at Mt. Rainier National Park today. This was followed by an executive order stating that Van Trump Park will now be called Donald Trump Park. “Who is this guy Van Trump anyway,” Trump tweeted. “Just some guy who climbed a mountain. Well, I’m President which is way more important.”
Trump plans to import huge quantities of Italian marble to create a giant T which will run the length of Trump Park. The T will be equipped with special heaters to melt the snow which covers the area for nine months a year. “That way the T will be able to be seen from the air all year around,” Trump said. President Trump also plans to reconstruct the modest stone memorial to Van Trump and Stevens to a much larger statue of himself. “This will have to do until I can get something more fitting created near Mt. Rushmore.”
