McGregor for Port Commission considers all
Port of Olympia projects that benefit all of Thurston County
Yes, it’s about the water but there is much more being done for the citizens of Thurston County. Port of Olympia Commissioner Bill McGregor understands that the Port is not just about the Marine Terminal and for the last decade has championed the expansion of its activities into other parts of the County. Examples include the following projects:
▪ The Small Cities Program which provides funding for economic development in Yelm, Tenino, Rainier and Bucoda ($250,000 awarded in the last seven years),
▪ The solarization of street lighting at the Cleanwater Centre in Tumwater
▪ The South Puget Sound Agricultural Producer Needs Assessment in partnership with the Washington State University Extension, the Thurston County EDC and the Thurston Conservation District.
In recognition of such efforts, Commissioner McGregor has received the endorsement of the Washington Farm Bureau, the state’s largest general farm organization, representing more than 47,000 member families.
Please re-elect Commissioner McGregor so he can continue to shape the future of the Port in new directions like these.
