Look at alt-left physical education

I have considered the recent happenings in and around the Evergreen State College, and I propose wholesale revisions to the physical education curriculum. It seems that the present offerings focus on jumping to conclusions, rushing to judgment, evading responsibility, dodging accountability, covering your hindquarters, embracing totalitarians, and shouting obscenities, which apparently develops aerobic and cardiovascular capability.

Rolling marijuana cigarettes, a recent pedagogical addition, increases fine motor and visual skills while improving finger dexterity. While the above offerings may suffice for persons who don’t plan on becoming contributing members of a free and open democratic society, they are insufficient for the physical and closely associated mental development of young (and some not so young!) people who are critical components of our nation’s future prospects.

I suggest offering more traditional individual and team physical activities, with an emphasis on the development of societal and cultural awareness, compassion, kindness, empathy, self discipline, and the courage required to be yourself, resist tyranny, and speak your mind.
