Clark Gilman is right for City Council
I am writing to urge my fellow Olympians to vote for Clark Gilman to retain his seat on the Olympia City Council.
Clark is a 30-year resident of Olympia and has raised a family in this great city, while proving that the values of respect, trust and truthfulness can go hand in hand with public service. His dedication to serving the public is more than evident in the decades he’s spent as a neighborhood activist, local union leader, chair of the city’s bicycle pedestrian advisory committee, climate solutions staff member working to transition our city to clean, renewable energy, local educator and more.
During his time on the Olympia City Council, Mr. Gilman has shown that he stands in solidarity with all community members in our city, from the most marginalized and disempowered to the most privileged and able; Clark embodies what it means to respect every voice and to cooperatively work to solve complex problems that face our city now and in the coming years. He believes that the people deserve to be a part of the process of growing our city while protecting its natural resources, which is why he has worked tirelessly to involve the public in issues like budget and city planning.
A vote for Clark Gilman is a vote for progress, compassion in leadership and fierce advocacy for all.
