Why don’t we recycle like we did in the ’50s?

We all did recycling in the 1950’s. So recycling today is not new. All the products were encased in glass and there was a return fee for all empty bottles from the store (manufacturer) of origin. There wasn’t all this refuse in land fills or our oceans.

Man ruins their own environments. So why aren’t we practicing this type of (recycling) today?
