Time for Evergreen to move on

Evergreen State College seems to have lost its moorings. While I sort of liked its original mission, something has gone astray. The recent payout of a half million dollars to a wronged teacher and the inability to attract even the allotted number of students points to bad management, incompetent administration and a huge waste of state tax dollars. It’s time to shut the doors or turn the school over to a “real” state school administration (WSU. UW, CWS, Western, Eastern) as a satellite.

The current administration is a bad joke who seems to be fumbling around in the dark. Giving into “student” demands that the white students (them) go off campus and discuss racism (us) has nothing to do with the mission of the school. And, discussing racism apart from Afro Americans seems like getting half the picture. Add that to the fact that the school has very little interaction with the community in which it resides and we have a failing situation. Evergreen needs an overhaul or closure. Stop wasting tax dollars.
