Pence is better, impeach already

Solidarity Sundays Olympia are calling for the impeachment of President Donald Trump. While we realize that impeachment is complex — it would leave us with President Pence, we believe that Donald Trump is far too dangerous, unstable, inexperienced, and egomaniacal to remain.

In particular, his response to Charlottesville, the pardoning of convicted racist Sheriff Joe Arpaio, and the ending of DACA make for a month-long assault on people of color — and three enormous victories for white supremacist (terrorist) groups. There is no equivocating: Trump is actively pandering to a racist, white supremacist base at the expense of the lives, safety, and dignity of millions of non-white Americans. This is unacceptable and un-American.

In addition, Trump’s handling of North Korea and continued use of Twitter to try to manage massive global nuclear crises is dangerous to us all; he is unstable, inexperienced, and unpredictable.
