A heart-to-heart with Trump
Come, sit down with me, Donald — can I call you Donald? Yes, shah, just sit. I want you to just listen for a moment. Try to drop all the defenses, sweep away the walls you’ve built up around your heart and I will sweep away mine. You are safe with me, just two humans connecting. Forget about power and money, they can’t really help us. In fact, those things cloud the mind. I can tell your mind is clouded by the actions you have taken as president.
Think, for a moment, of a child, raised in a loving, hard working family;so much life, so much potential, so vulnerable but confident that their parents, neighbors, and country will protect them and nourish them and cheer them on! They are our future teachers, carpenters, doctors, leaders of the world.
They deserve that, as much as you or I do, right? Can you feel that tenderness and hope in your heart? Can your heart lead you in a humane direction? Can you see how caring and generosity takes us so much further than status, hostility and greed? There are 800,000 DACA students who want you to relate to them and others heart to heart! I think you will be surprised when you do. Make DACA protection law. You will feel more real!
