Seahawks protest uncalled for

I find the team’s reaction to not come onto the field to respect our flag and National Anthem totally uncalled for! Not only is this action disrespectful to our Great Nation, but it is showing total disrespect to our true heroes, our service members.

And yes, even our law enforcement people, who probably 98 percent of them do a very good job. Yes there are a few “bad apples,” just as there are in any organization. But that is no reason to belittle the majority of law enforcement who are doing an excellent job, risking their lives every day in some of the most dangerous regions of our country.

Speaking of which, how many NFL players have been accused and prosecuted for spousal abuse, drunk driving, causing a wreck or other crimes and gotten away with it because of their status. As a “sports figure,” they could afford a very good lawyer. Have you “protested” against them? No!

There are other ways for the organization and its players to “protest” or otherwise disagree with the actions of a very few people serving our country than to “protest” our Flag and National Anthem, and thus showing disrespect for the 98 percent who do a great lob protecting you and your “right” to freedom of speech!
