Vote Zita and Fishburn in general election
Dear Olympia Voters,
Vote for sincere candidates in this local election.
Olympia is at a critical juncture. The economy and our changing climate have created stress in our community. We have multiple challenging issues in front of us. We need to house people at affordable rates. We need to maintain and develop sound public infrastructure. We need to balance the need for human-built environments and preserving and supporting our unique waterways and natural environment. We need to have viable, constructive ways for people to earn a living wage. We need to create and maintain a safe environment for people of diverse backgrounds. These ought to be the highest priorities in any community.
Right now we have a contest between those who would prioritize luxury housing for the wealthy, gentrification of our neighborhoods, divisive and non-cooperative approaches to economic, social and environmental concerns, and those who will give their all to living up to Olympia’s true needs as a community.
We need a City of Olympia staff and council who will work together with a Port of Olympia staff and commission for all the values I listed above. Vote for E.J. Zita and Bill Fishburn for Port Commissioners and Clark Gilman, Renata Rollins, and Lisa Parshley for City Council. The future of Olympia will be brighter with these folks in office! Add your vote and be on the side of creating a sustainable, compassionate community.
