Puget Sound Energy's actions viewed as anti-semitic
Puget Sound Energy alerted neighborhood residents that on Dec.19 we wouldn’t have electricity for at least 8 hours. This is Chanukah.
I’m curious if PSE would ever consider cutting electricity to people on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
Many people have family plans made weeks or even months ago for this holiday season. PSE gave us four days’ notice.
When I finally reached someone at PSE willing to speak to me, I was told it was a planned outage to make improvements to prevent power outages in the future. Seems to me that if it was a planned project, PSE’s management team could have done much better. Perhaps it’s time PSE invest in sensitivity training and develop cultural awareness and look at a calendar that includes non-Christian holidays to avoid behavior that appears as anti-semitic.
Gee, thanks, Puget Sound Energy. It’s hard to entertain guests and cook dinner using candles and a menorah.
