Washington needs child support reform
There is a definite need to reform the way child support is determined and distributed within Washington state. As an active duty veteran, I cannot survive off the calculation that I am forced to pay. Along with the limited amount I get to see my child, it is causing more emotion and anxiety than any deployment.
Never would I think the court would support fraud, but I read horror stories about it every day in the Washington state court system.
I pay over $1,000 a month and it is unsustainable. I have been fighting to correct this issue for a year, but each time my case is delayed over and over again. I feel like a second-class citizen in court. I volunteered to protect this country. When I need the help, my country has abandoned me.
