Cold rationality destroying life

It was with some dismay that I learned of Mae the Raccoon and her family’s plight in The Olympian. All these rules that so-called normal people use to justify coldness and cruelty to animals. I also read that the Department of Fish and Wildlife was killing baby deer because they had become used to humans at the wildlife animal rescue. Before that was a story of poachers using dogs to attack deer and other wildlife and the sheer obscenity of killing for the “fun” of it.

These people are destroying the Earth and breaking our hearts with their cold rationality that serves what purpose? Yes, animals deserve to be left alone and be wild, but if they are babies, should we leave them to die? That is what they propose. As for these hunters, it is a disgrace. I wish the Native Americans would take back this beautiful land and care for it and its creatures as they deserve.
