Vote “yes” for the Yelm Schools bond

Over the past three years, Yelm Community Schools has been trying to get a construction bond approved to update its facilities to meet the needs of our teachers and children. With the last two bond failures, our little town’s situation has only gotten worse. Our population is still growing while our capacity is not keeping pace. As time passes without this bond approval, the price tag for the needed updates and unavoidable costs to continually add this topic to the voter ballots will only go up.

After reviewing the bond package, it’s my personal opinion that the extra cost in property taxes is fair and reasonable compared to our school infrastructure needs. Let’s get educated on the facts and vote “yes” to give our great teachers the environment they deserve to teach our children.
