Silence is the same as endorsement

On this 4th of July, I was ashamed to be American. I'm ashamed because we have innocent children in cages separated from their parents. I'm ashamed because our President who is being investigated for colluding with a foreign power is planning to have a completely private meeting with that foreign power. I'm ashamed because a new democracy we helped foster in Poland is kicking out its judges and we are silent about it.

U.S. Rep. Denny Heck must remind his colleagues that by their words and inaction they are sanctioning these behaviors and that history will not remember them kindly. I expect Rep. Heck to speak out for us and voice, no, yell these concerns, else in his silence he will be sanctioning them too.
