Thank you to the angel passerby

Early on July 19, someone either walked or drove by my son’s place on Martin Way close to College Street. This person saw smoke coming out of a vent, knocked on the door and called 911.

Thank you for saving his life! My son had gone to sleep with a cigarette, his bed was on fire and he had not installed the smoke detector that could have alerted him to the smoke. He easily could have died that morning. When you knocked on the door, it woke him up — thank you! The fire department came and got the mattress out of there and put the fire out. They were able to do this without water damage — thank you.

Thank God for the people who knew help was needed and to the Angel who watches over him. My son is fine.
