Another business chased out of town

The recent article about the Olympia Flea Market closing hit pretty close to home. My wife and I operated a business in downtown Olympia (a few blocks from the flea market) for two years. Like the owners of the flea market, we got fed up with people sleeping in our doorway, dealing drugs in plain view, and having to pick up trash and various other unpleasant things that happened daily.

After two years of dealing with the homeless issues, we closed our business for good. Until the homeless problem is dealt with, downtown Olympia will continue to lose businesses.
