What’s needed is a place to swim by Capitol Lake

Here’s a thought about Capitol Lake. Gather all the folks including past task force members, commissioners, city council members, environmental folks and other experts that have pondered the future of the lake. Make sure you include the park planners that want to raise taxes to purchase more park land we can’t afford to maintain.

Consider inviting the Save the LBA Woods folks that can’t seem to find any other trees in the Evergreen State to hug. Have them all meet at the old swimming area on Capitol Lake on a day when the temperature is 90 degrees. They are to stand there and look at the empty lake and think about what the people in this area really want and will use in terms of recreation facilities as well as what will be a real asset to downtown Olympia.

Do you think an idea will come to them? Just a thought.
