Selby is the best option for mayor of Olympia

I first met Cheryl Selby in her terrific retail store, and was impressed immediately by her positive energy, business acumen, and eagerness to contribute to a positive future for our community. She understands the importance of a healthy downtown as the center for business, retail, and entertainment, and she recognizes it will take new ideas, persistence and collaboration to make important improvements.

Cheryl is also strongly committed to our parks, artists and arts, public safety, transit and a clean environment. She contributes to a long list of nonprofit organizations and community efforts, providing leadership, mentoring, ideas and attention. Cheryl is a connector: she seeks out various perspectives, facilitates discussions, studies the details, and works to build consensus.

As a City Council member, she works hard to understand the issues, bring a balanced perspective, and contribute to the best decisions for our community. She wants to learn and is open to ideas.

Cheryl has the leadership experience, energy and perspectives we need, and I enthusiastically support her as the top candidate for mayor of Olympia.
