NRA still in the saddle and riding our Congress

Don’t they read newspapers? When asked about the third deadly shooting in six weeks, Republican members of Congress and presidential candidates acted as if they had not seen the news. When asked, they stared at their shoes, denounced violence and called for prayers. What they didn’t dare propose was closing loopholes in existing gun laws or enacting tougher laws.

No question about it, the NRA, one of the most powerful lobbies of recent times, is still in the saddle and rides Congress.
