Driving etiquette requires patience for our younger drivers
A reminder: teenagers who are new drivers are also using the roadways. So before you honk your horn at someone going slowly through a roundabout or taking their time to drive safely, please consider being polite rather than rude or aggressive.
Last week, while riding with my 16-year-old granddaughter in Lacey/Olympia to give her more supervised experience in everyday driving situations, someone blasted the horn as she was carefully navigating a roundabout.
A few minutes later, another driver was more polite and gave her time to make a left turn in heavy traffic.
