As mayor, Marco Rossi would be a public servant
Marco Rossi is my choice for Olympia’s next mayor.
Rossi isn’t running because of future political aspirations, but due to a desire to raise the quality of life for the people of our city. He has plans to increase democracy in Olympia, will tackle police reforms in a way that accounts for national failures in policing, and understands real environmental progress. Rossi is well known as someone with principles and integrity - characteristics we need inserted into our politics.
His knowledge and commitment to the environment and addressing climate change are prominent in his platform. He has a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of these issues – and the actions needed to bring solutions to reality. His ideas for smart city planning take into consideration the need for expanded mass transit. His commitment to preserving and increasing our green spaces is couched in a commitment to bring them closer to areas of density to reduce car dependent destinations. Marco is the most environmentally conscious of the City Council candidates.
Marco Rossi will be a truly selfless public servant. He has a degree in international law and human rights from the University of Peace in Costa Rica, and a masters degree in political science from the University of Illinois. He is an author and recently published “A Politics for the 99%.” He has been employed with Planned Parenthood for the past six years and volunteers at the Interfaith Works homeless shelter once a week.
Vote Rossi for mayor.
