Bateman is the leader we need on city council

I have worked with Jessica Bateman for the last three years in her capacity as board member for GRuB (Garden Raised Bounty), a local nonprofit that empowers disengaged youth, low-income families and veterans.

Jessica has the heart and soul of a community organizer and has consistently advocated for the public interest. Jessica was first inspired by the power of community building while working on a climate action plan for the city of Olympia.

She has over seven years of experience in the nonprofit and governmental sectors in environmental planning and public administration. I have watched her grow into a trusted role model and leader on the GRuB board, and as a legislative aide to state Rep. Chris Reykdal. She has gained valuable experience advocating for the diverse citizens of Olympia for the past several years. Our City Council needs her experience and voice!

Jessica is truly committed to fostering collaboration, and has the positive energy needed to move this city in a good direction for all of us. I'm eager to experience her leadership as our next council member. I urge you to vote for her.
