Marco Rossi will fight for Olympia living wage
Let me tell you why Olympia mayoral candidate, Marco Rossi has my vote.
When I envision an Olympia that truly works for all, I see diversity, a place that is safe for people of color and where our police are held accountable. I see a minimum wage that allows access for working people to participate in the economy that they are helping build. I see affordable rent, environmental sustainability, and an end in homelessness. Marco not only shares this vision, but is actively fighting to make it a reality.
Raising the minimum wage to $15 dollars an hour is an issue that Marco’s campaign focuses on and one that is essential in raising the quality of life for this community. When workers earn a living wage, they are able to support small business and the local economy, something that is currently inaccessible to someone making $9.47 an hour.
Thirty-five is the average age of low wage workers, many being single mothers with college degrees. Marco understands the reality for low wage workers because he has spent most of his working history as one. That is why he is fighting for a living wage; one that will lift working people out of poverty, and boost our local economy.
It is critical that our mayor represents this community, actively working within it and with its people. It is time that we live in an Olympia that is truly an Olympia for all.
