Pressure Congress to end farms' overuse of antibiotics

Antibiotic resistant bacteria from factory farms threatens everyone’s health. According to the CDC each year in the U.S. at least 2 million people become infected with bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics. At least 23,000 people have died as a result of these infections; 80 percent of antibiotics in the US are used in agriculture, not to treat infections in people.

There is a solution. We can demand our policymakers end the irresponsible use of antibiotics in livestock. Contact your county legislators to demand change. They can pass a resolution calling on our federal representatives to support sensible regulatory legislation in Congress. Get involved, this threatens everyone’s health.
