Vote yes on parks, so we don't pave paradise

Has everyone noticed the blue and yellow signs all around Olympia? YES on Prop. 1, Parks - For Us, For the Future – YES Parks.

A yes vote means that we, Olympia voters, will be creating a stable income for our parks. Money is needed to maintain parks bought and paid for by earlier residents, and to acquire parkland for future generations.

A metropolitan park district (Proposition 1) will do just that.

We’re told that at least 20,000 people are on their way: 1,000 per year for the next 20 years. Property values are on the rise. Land needs to be bought now before it is sold for development.

Please, check-out our website: Yesolympiaparks.org for more information.

Singer-Songwriter Joni Mitchell wrote, “Don’t it always seem to go, that you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone”

Please, let us not “pave paradise and put up a parking lot.”
