School safety takes back seat to excessive testing
Are our schools really safe? The school system isn’t at it’ best. Instead of actually sparking the desire for them to learn, to thrive to become better and shape our world into a better place, it’s all about the money. The job. The test scores from the test that tests your test-taking skills.
The mentality of students is at a low. Most have no desire to learn, only the drive to survive the next test and get enough sleep to seem at least a little less dead the next day. Now, throw that in with teen-age hormones and a social setting that will always have you on edge.
It is mentally draining. School should not be a place where you dread to go to. It should not be a place that causes you pain. Depression and anxiety, along with a few other horrible, major problems run through our school system like a plague. A virus without a cure, with no one looking.
This causes the underlying problems; this is what breaks students who eventually do these horrible, unspeakable things. But the real problem is that shootings have become a popular trend.
The more we talk, the more it will come to pass. News and social media brings all the bad right in front of you. It has brought this problem to a higher level. It has become one disastrous trend.
