Cheryl Selby has good background to be mayor

I am endorsing Cheryl Selby for Olympia mayor. I have been impressed with Cheryl since I met her in 2006, the year that she opened her small business, Vivala. She is never one to shy away from challenges. She has a diversity of interests. And she is passionate about creating opportunities for the youth of our community.

Cheryl has been active for years trying to develop an arts space to enhance the residential work and performance space for artists in our community. She understands and advocates for advancing the potential for economic development in our town and the value of supporting local business growth. Cheryl has worked tirelessly in support of youth in our community, to the point that a vast majority of her campaign staff come from local high schools. She is a strong listener and collaborator who will seek out information and opinions from experts.

As a small business owner and president of the non-profit, Sustainable South Sound, I believe that Cheryl will work hard to move our community forward.
