Olympia needs Selby as its next mayor

I am writing to endorse Cheryl Selby for Olympia mayor. I volunteer for the YWCA of Olympia and have had the privilege of working with her on many projects she has done for and with the YWCA. Selby reached out to us knowing our mission speaks to her values: eliminating racism, empowering women thus strengthening families.

As a successful small business owner, Cheryl brings a unique perspective to the office of mayor. She has strong ties to our community, raising her family here and years serving on various non-profit boards. She has also served as a city employee and now as an elected official as a member of the Olympia City Council.

When elected, history will be made – she will be our first directly elected female mayor in Olympia’s history. Cheryl is well versed on local government issues, compassionate, articulate, smart, well organized and very approachable. She will serve our city extremely well.
