Barner has voter's support and vote
In the race for Olympia port commissioner, George Barner has my vote. George shares my values.
He sees the port as a significant element of the life of our community. The port is a hub for expanded local water traffic and a common resource for local business enterprise. George will continue to propel these concepts forward.
George is fiscally conservative and will work hard to ensure the port is financially responsible. In the past, the port tried to be a big time operator but it has been a challenge and taxpayers have paid to maintain the image – maybe without fully realizing it. With George’s honest accounting, taxpayers will see what they are getting and how much it costs.
George has also worked to lower our carbon footprint. Our port office buildings on Tumwater Boulevard will soon have solar panels, and the port has a new SEPA policy. With George’s efforts, we have progress for the Port of Olympia.
I will vote for George Barner. I hope everyone else does too.
