Bardin is council's best environmental candidate
Judy Bardin is a clear choice for Olympia City Council. She has the qualifications, experience and values to make sure Olympia has an open and effective government that seeks serious citizen participation, especially in decisions that impact their neighborhoods.
Her doctorate degree, focused on epidemiology, and a master’s in environmental health provide the expertise needed to make critical decisions based on scientific evidence in matters that affect the environment, public health, and safety.
Her experience on the Olympia Planning Commission, the commission’s finance subcommittee, and the Utility Advisory Committee has provided her with the knowledge to advocate for important city policies: creating green space, responding to climate change threats, revitalizing the downtown area, and building a prudent budget that considers future challenges.
Recent allegations about records are misleading. The “News” tab on Judy’s website, http://www.judybardin.com, explains the real story. In fact, she was honored with a Key Award from the Washington Coalition for Open Government.
Judy has received exclusive endorsements from three environmental groups: Sierra Club, Thurston Environmental Voters, and WFSE Local 872, Ecology. She is also endorsed by labor and women’s groups.
Judy Bardin is committed to public service and will work to bring citizen voices into city decisions.
