Mammogram guidelines look like a bow to insurers

I am very angry about the American Cancer Society issuing new guide lines for mammograms telling women they don’t need them before age 45 and after age 55.

Although this does not suit all women, it sends a message that I find frightening. I have friends who have been diagnosed with breast cancer in their 60s and 70s who have the opportunity for therapy and the addition of more quality of life.

These new guidelines sound like a death sentence to me and reek of just saving insurance companies money.
